“Mapping Unheard Migrant Voices” will make French, German, and Italian history in the state, as well as French-Quapaw interactions, more accessible to the general public through Digital Humanities projects. At a later stage, we will tie the experiences that immigrants have had historically and expand the project to other voices of 20th/21st century immigrants, such as Latinx and Marshallese immigrants.
This project has been generously supported by: The Arkansas Humanities Council, the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, the Diane D. Blair Center of Southern Politics & Society, the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and the Arkansas Humanities Center, with additional funding from the Departments of Art History, English, History, Dr. Linda Jones, and the German Section, World Languages.
